I don't know about the visa situation in Indonesia - but I wouldn't imagine it would be as tough as russia and china in particular, but for peace of mind and the chance to meet other travellers it may be worth it!
But it is WELL worth it!!!

Hi all,Flew to Asia for the first time a couple of weeks ago.
The cost of less than one euro and you get to ride in a gondola on the Canal Grande.
There are rather good trains and the stations are near the city centres (not San Gimignano)but I advise you rent a car to drive easily, air conditioned and comfortable toyour destinations.

There is also Hampi with so many things to see in and around, go to Ajanta and Ellora to see the most fascinating cave temples - I can guarantee you'll be delighted.

this summer I’m pretty sure I’m doing a 6 week summer exchange program.

In non-English speaking countries that are part of the EU, you most likely can find temporary jobs teaching English, jobs in countries not part of the EU have their own set of rules, some which can make it some what hard to find jobs, or I should say legit.
