The internal IP address like 192.168.1.1 is truly a private IPv4 network address. Any type of network router and any computer on a local network can be set to this IP address. Nevertheless, only one device is allowed to use this IP address in the old days to prevent IP address conflicts. Because of that, either one or both computers will be unusable for network operations.
